Designed to be worn alone, or under a wetsuit for increased protection and flotation in heavy surf, the Yulex® Impact Short John is made from 1.5mm 85% Yulex natural rubber/15% synthetic rubber by polymer content, with a high-stretch 100% recycled polyester lining and flexible 25mm foam panels. Made for all temperatures. Fair Trade Certified™ sewn.

Developed in collaboration with Patagonia ambassadors and field testers, our Yulex® Impact Short John provides supplemental protection and flotation for increased safety in the heaviest and most hazardous surf. Suitable for all temperatures, lined with stretchy 100% recycled polyester and made from 1.5mm 85% natural rubber/15% synthetic rubber by polymer content that meets our rigorous standards for strength, durability and flex, it can be worn on its own in warm water or under a wetsuit in cooler conditions. The anatomically placed 25mm EVA foam panels offer impact cushioning for the core, thighs and seat without restricting the quickness and freedom of movement needed in big waves; the chest panels are removable for sessions where you need more direct contact with the deck of your board. Patterned to hold snug to the body through the strongest underwater turbulence, the zipperless design is entered through either of the two armholes; flatlock and zigzag seam construction provide streamlined comfort and additional durability. Exterior face fabric is durable, water-resistant 88% recycled polyester/12% spandex.
